Huascarán

Huascarán is climbed between June and August. The climb normally takes five days. On the first day, we ascend quite comfortably, with only a short easy climbing section, to Campo Morrena, where a comfortable mountain hut is located. After the ascent to Camp 1 over large rocks and a flat glacier (Day 2), we tackle the somewhat more adventurous passage to Camp 2, which leads through an ice fall and steeply through the so-called Canaleta (day 3). Depending on the conditions, the summit day (Day 4) may require some ice climbing until we reach the roof of Peru. After summitting, we descend to Camp 2. On Day 5 we descend completely and drive back to Huaraz.
